A meeting was held at the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation in the presence of Municipal Commissioner Mr. Amol Yedge to discuss the introduction of new e-toilet facilities at important locations across the city.
During the meeting, Shri Anil Makariye emphasized the need for clean, safe, and accessible public sanitation facilities for citizens. Taking an immediate decision in this regard, it was decided to initially introduce two e-toilets on a pilot basis in the city.
Special attention was given to providing convenient and hygienic facilities for women, particularly in busy public areas where access to clean public toilets is essential. As part of the initial implementation, e-toilet facilities will be introduced at Gulmandi Chowk and Osmanpura.
Shri Anil Makariye stressed that public facilities should be designed and maintained with the convenience, safety, and dignity of citizens in mind. The introduction of e-toilets is an important step towards improving public sanitation facilities and providing citizens with modern, clean, and well-equipped amenities.
The pilot project will also help assess the functioning and public response to the facilities, based on which similar services can be considered at other suitable locations across the city.
Shri Makariye reiterated that improving basic civic amenities and addressing the everyday needs of citizens remain important priorities. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure proper implementation of the initiative and to maintain the required standards of cleanliness and service.
The meeting was attended by City Engineer Mr. Sanjay Kombade, Corporator Mr. Jalindar Shendge, Mr. Shankar Mhatre, Mr. Kishor Mankape, Mr. Sagar Neelkanth, and other concerned Municipal Corporation officials.
