As part of the ongoing efforts to improve sanitation and civic infrastructure across Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Shri Anil Makariye visited the Zone 8 – Satara Area to inspect the condition of drainage systems and review the progress of drain cleaning work.
During the inspection, it was observed that local residents have been facing persistent issues of foul odour and unhygienic conditions for several years due to inadequate maintenance of the drainage system. Taking serious note of the situation, Shri Makariye interacted with the concerned officials and assessed the existing conditions on-site.
Keeping the inconvenience faced by citizens in mind, Shri Makariye directed the concerned Municipal Corporation authorities to commence the required work immediately and ensure that the drain cleaning and related improvements are completed within the next eight days. He emphasized that timely execution of sanitation work is essential to maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment for residents.
Reiterating his commitment to effective civic governance, Shri Makariye stated that public grievances related to sanitation and cleanliness would continue to receive priority, and that regular monitoring of such works would be undertaken to ensure their timely completion and long-term effectiveness.
The inspection was attended by Corporator Mr. Padmsing Rajput, Corporator Mr. Appasaheb Hivarale, Corporator Mrs. Savita Kulkarni, Corporator Mrs. Anita Salve, along with the Zone Officer, Ward Officer, and local residents.
